Fandom: Justice League (Animated)
Title: The Fuzzy End of the Lollipop
Author: mtgat and dotfic
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: John/Shayera, but the whole cast is involved
Spoilers: Takes place between "Wild Cards" and "Starcrossed" but is slightly AU.
Summary: Thanks to Mr. Mxyzptlk, the League learns how the other half lives.

Why it's here: I love this fic. It's a classic. I blew off an entire afternoon that should have been spent working on a group project to read it and I never regretted it even when I didn't sleep that night getting caught up. I would have a more coherent review but I'm too tired. (No, really, I misspelled "jl" as "lj" three times in a row before I got it fixed right.) Go read.

"Nativity" (Brimstone/Dogma)

Fandom: Brimstone/Dogma
Title: Nativity
Author: Milkshake Butterfly
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: None, despite the nuns and Bethany crushing slightly on Zeke
Spoilers: Post-movie for Dogma, no idea for Brimstone.
Summary: Eight and a half months after the end of Dogma, and there's no room at the Inn.

Why it's here: Okay, Bethany and Zeke are cute and the setting cracked me up, but everything else takes a backseat to the peanut gallery. Namely, Lucifer and the Metatron watching from the sidelines in the snack aisle, and their dialogue pushes the snark factor through the roof.

"Paper Chase" (Sherlock/White Collar)

Kicking this off with a fic I just discovered, although it's not new at all.

Fandom: Sherlock (2010)/White Collar
Title: Paper Chase
Author: sam_storyteller (copperbadge on LJ)
Rating: PG-13 (language, some violence)
Pairing: None unless you squint.
Spoilers: White Collar S1 finale directly mentioned; "A Study in Pink" for Sherlock
Summary: One criminal consultant. One consulting detective. One serial killer. And one perhaps inadvisable bet...

Why it's here: This is hands down my favorite Sherlock/White Collar crossover to date. No, really. The interaction between Peter, Neal, Sherlock and John is fantastic, the dialogue kept me cracking up, and the actual case takes a sidebar to the most insane bet ever. (And while it's nowhere near the best line in the story, "weird in the name of justice" has become a catchphrase around the house because of this fic.)

Link(s): Dreamwidth link as well as an excellent co-podfic (I particularly love how Fay reads Sherlock).
